by Bankside Collection

T he most spectacular views from The Bankside Collection are reserved for the communal top-floor terrace. Furnished with its own kitchen, dining area and al fresco lounge, the roof terrace was designed by Allies and Morrison as a shared space for all the residents to enjoy in a building otherwise carefully crafted to ensure absolute privacy.

“It references the classic Victorian garden squares in London, except it’s on the roof,” explains Josh Chadd. “We’ve even planted a mature tree up there to provide natural shade.” The 360-degree vistas of this iconic stretch of the London skyline are very rare amid the glittering new glass towers along Bankside and are arguably the standout feature of SE1’s latest landmark.

I don't think that architecture is only about shelter, is only about a very simple enclosure. It should be able to excite you, to calm you, to make you think
